It’s through these simple acts of watching serene programs and pouring my emotions into my blog that I navigate life’s turbulence. Yet, some days, I wonder how long I can rely on these coping mechanisms. Nevertheless, they remain my steering lights calming both my mind and heart.

Personal Sanctuaries : Finding My Anchors
Indeed, it’s common for everyone to speak of their personal coping mechanisms. I find it difficult to accept that the little rituals I engage in each day can genuinely ground my restless spirit or that they can compassionately hold my hand every morning, guiding me through the complex labyrinth of life.
There are days where the noise of the world feels too much – every spoken word, every expectation, a heavy weight bearing down on my shoulders. It’s in these moments that I turn to the soothing glow of my favorite programs. They become my escape, where the burdens of reality fade, even if only for a while. The calming visuals and gentle narratives act as a balm for my weary mind. Watching them, I feel a sense of tranquility wash over me, as if each frame carries away a piece of my unrest.

Then, there’s the act of writing. Sitting down with my thoughts, weaving words into stories, – it’s my sanctuary. Blogging is more than just a hobby, it’s a lifeline. The blank page is a friend that listens without judgement. There’s a profound sense of contentment that takes root in my heart with each post i publish. It’s in those moments, as the words flow, that I find my clarity and purpose. As Thomas Merton once said, “Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time”.
These coping mechanisms calm me and complete my day. Without them, life would feel like an unfinished symphony, a story without its beginning and end. Yet, despite the comfort they bring, I sometimes wonder how long I can lean on these routines. How many days can I navigate or steer the tides with these tools before they no longer suffice?
It’s a delicate balance – between seeking solace and fearing its fragility. But amidst these uncertainties. I hold onto the moments of peace they bring, the sense of fulfillment that comes with creation. These rituals remind me that joy and calm can coexist with chaos and uncertainty, that even on the stormiest days, there are still anchors to hold onto, and sanctuaries to find refuge in.
